Auditions for the 2014 Nutcracker
Saturday, August 16th
Where: East County Performing Arts Center
3901 Walnut Blvd Suite B
All ages taking 1 ballet class per week 1:00-2:00
7-11 years old taking 2 or more hrs of ballet a week 2:00-3:30
12-19 years old taking 2 or more hrs. of ballet a week 3:30-5:00
*All ages should be prepared to return at a later time that same evening for call backs*
Mandatory Parent Meeting:
Friday, August 15th at 7:30pm at ECPAC (in suite A-1).
What to Bring to Auditions:
Girls are required to wear pink tights, solid colored leotard, pink ballet shoes and hair pulled back in a bun.
Boys are required to wear black pants or shorts, solid white t-shirt and black ballet shoes.
Dancers need to provide a headshot of any size with their application.
The participation fee is due at the time of auditions. Please bring a check with your dancer's audition application. If your dancer is not placed your check will be returned to you.
The Ballet Company of East County is committed to community involvement; we encourage all dancers from all studios to participate.
Dancers must be 7 years old (as of Oct 1st) and currently enrolled in a weekly ballet class. For dancers age 4-6 we have a mini Nutcracker Experience, Sugar Plum U!
Introducing Sugar Plum University!
This is a very special Nutcracker Experience
for our budding ballerinas ages 4-6
Dancers will get to learn a dance from the show, have a special class and meet and greet with the Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara, special seating at The Nutcracker, a Sugar Plum University tee shirt, participate in the holiday parades, perform and participate in Tea With Clara.
